This is data collected by Sreeja Asokan. It is Actin surfing on a surface with a flow of 15 microliters per minute.

Suggested procedure for optimizing

Check the show_gain_control box to bring up the gain control panel. On that control panel, adjust the clip_low to map 0.72 to black and clip_high to map 0.75 to white. This reduces the noise and increases the contrast. The optimized image corresponding to the above image is shown here:

The resulting optimized flow can also be usefully displayed using the ScalarStack program with the “Sreeja” technique.
